📖 About This Campground

Poncho's Pond RV Park in Ludington Michigan offers full hookup RV camping in a family friendly park. Paved roads and mostly concrete pads the large park contains hundreds of sites spread out off of a labyrinth of one way roads. Short term sites are mixed in with seasonal sites and owned sites. Backins and pull thrus are smartly angled to the road (necessary due to the narrow nature of the roads) allowing for easy entry and exit. The park can accommodate large RVs but advanced reservations are recommended as the location is relatively full during the summer months. A small fishing pond is located onsite. Two outdoor pools are available and a hot tub (only the large pool is open to young children) and a decent sized indoor pool is available. A large playground is also available as are open areas for play near the pool. A small fitness center is located on site. Poncho's Pond RV Park is located in an urban setting and is within walking distance of several restaurants, grocery stores, and the fairgrounds. It is a bit of a ways to downtown Ludington but this is the closest private RV park to the city center (not by much Vacation Station is about 2 blocks further east). Sites have picnic tables and fire rings. There is decent spacing between sites and plenty of mowed grass and trees to add a nice ambiance to the location.

They were able to fit us in last minute after having to leave the Dunes Resort down in Silver Lake due to bad Verizon Coverage. I can happily report that Verizon 4G was solid here and worked fine. The park is packed full of campers and is a bit sketchy to navigate in a big rig (if I can make it you can just take your time). Lots of local Michigan area guests staying here Ludington is a destination for vacations. There is a ferry from Ludington to Wisconsin. The park has all the amenities all listed above already. We specifically needed propane tanks filled but ended up passing after they refused to send a maintenance guy over with a golf cart to lug the tanks to the filling station. The pool was cool and refreshing so we enjoyed our time there. As a first time visitor they extended a 10% discount making our nightly rate of $45 reasonable for the accommodations and amenities.
