📖 About This Campground
Buttersville Park and Campground in Ludington Michigan offers primitive and electric hookup RV and tent camping in a county run park near the shores of Lake Michigan. The location is popular with locals and does allow seasonal guests to keep their units on site. The seasonal sites "own" the joint with many of the items seasonal guests acquire out for everyone to see include lines between trees, light strands, yard furniture and the like. Tent campers and small RVs can camp in other available electric or primitive sites; we do not advise larger RVs trying to squeeze in and out of the sites for short term stays. It is not worth the headache.
The park is set in a densely forested setting on a knoll overlooking the beaches of Lake Michigan. Staircases lead down to the beach and ocean waters. Some of the seasonal sites are located near the pretty overlook of the ocean.
Gravel roads and parking pads with dirt camping areas. the park has a number of bathrooms, a shower room, fresh water spigots and a small office. Kids have access to the old style playground equipment but will be much better served playing on the beach.
Located on a peninsula guests access the park by following back-roads that are paved but winding and narrow.
