Situated at 4,900' it is a long grade from here into Yosemite Valley. Hogdon Meadow Campground is built on a hillside and does have some serious elevation within the campground. Interestingly the campground does accommodate RVs with length limits up to 35 feet and trailers up to 27 feet. The RV sites are found along the first loop.
Each sites has a picnic tables, fire ring, and bear box. A restroom with potable water and flushing toilets is available. Paved roads with dirt sites. Lots of trees provide decent shade.
Sites are hit and miss in this campground. Some are excellent with good privacy while others are more "communal" with neighbors right next to each other.
