The park is fully opened and nearly back to pre-fire conditions. They have replaced the tee-pees and cabins. Work is proceeding on the office and campstore too. OPEN AND READY FOR BUSINESS!

Ventura Ranch KOA at Steckel Park in Santa Paula CA offers full hookup RV and tent camping with family friendly activities. Located off the highway between Santa Paula and Ojai the location provides a quiet getaway from the nearby hustle and bustle. As a KOA branded park there have been a number of improvements and additions including play areas and jump pillows. The park also has a number of rental cabins available.
Situated on a hillside the park has sites ranging from luxury full hookups to more primitive tent sites. Family friendly amenities include a pool, bounce pillow and playgrounds.
Guests can camp with RVs, tents or rent one of the lodges or tee-pees to stay.

Hit by the Thomas Fire they are still waiting to clean up. "what we have is 148 total sites — some of the sites where we have no structures we’ve been able to rebuild those already. We have about 25-30 sites up and operating, and completely full with long-term guests. That’s helped our financial performance at this point. We’re still cleaning up. We try to do a little bit every day of cleaning up sites that do not have structures, because those are the areas we cannot touch. The video associated with this listing is a good representation of this KOA. They are currently remodeling so it may look different in the future. Great location in a canyon above Santa Paula. Not really near anything with driving necessary to reach Ojai, Ventura, or the beaches but overall a nice place to stay.
