The price of this place has gone up. It is really the only game in town and the only place with full hookups that will have availability for a 20 mile radius. With over 120,000 people living in Simi Valley alone there are a ton of reasons why people would want to stay here. We unfortunately could not get in. As a county run park it is subject to insane rules and mismanagement. Reservations can only be made 14 days out or sooner; within 14 days it becomes 1st come 1st served with no real idea if a site is available next to driving out there; if the place is full you are looking at a minimum 45 minute drive to the next likely place with first come first served availability for full hookups. Oak Park on the other end of town will always have sites available because it sucks; but they are partial hookups and can be a bit tight to get in to. No cell service to speak of; if you stand in certain spots you may be able to get a partial signal but don't move or you'll lose it. Great mountain biking and hiking all around. Simi is a safe community with nice neighborhoods and roads. Shopping just down the street plus the public library if you need internet.

Very nice small RV camping park up in the canyon. Park host was helpful with instructions and rules. Unfortunately our stay was ruined by a local ant colony that tried to invade our rig. Contrary to the other reviewer we were able to pull a steady verizon phone signal with our Wilson amp. Data was too sporadic to be useful though. Summer rate is too much for what you get at $37 per night.

As a local to the area we use this park as a quick getaway when breaking in new upgrades on our rig. Just up Tapo Canyon the park is located in a sand canyon. There is no cell signal back there making for peace and quiet. 1 mile from civilization. The county recently upgraded all their county parks and this one got nice treatments too. Concrete slabs with dirt open area in between. A nice green play area nearby too. If you are a cyclist Simi Valley is a hidden gem with great mountain biking all around and leg burning road rides too.
