Very nice city owned campground with some great campground hosts. The full hookups are all backins and easy to get into with any size rig. The pull thrus are partial hookup and not level front to back (at all). Scenic river, awesome looking water park, and multi-use trail are all accessible from this location. Price was reasonable ($25) and Verizon 4G worked so we were happy.

Margaret MacNider Campground in Mason City Iowa offers full and partial hookup RV and tent camping in a city run park. Adjacent to the river and community water-park facilities include bar-b-que pavilion and camp store. Multi-use trails are accessible from the park allowing access to an extensive trail network. The park also includes a shower house that can serve as a FEMA certified F5 rated tornado shelter.
