We stayed overnight twice on our way to Petoskey, MI and enjoyed the easy access concrete sites. Nice pull through, with easy hookups and feeling of privacy. We already have our reservation for this year.

Review originally posted to our Youtube channel by David Nelson Based on this video I stayed at Manastique shores campground 2 nights on the way to and from my destination. It's the nicest campground I've been in. Very nice. The shower building is great. Private lockable shower rooms. Very clean. The beach area is covered by drift wood chunks worn by the waves. Beautiful views. Free coffee in the morning and friendly staff. Thank you for posting this video
AMAZING. This is a community using their natural setting and smart planning to build something right. The RV park is absolutely perfect in every way. The only negative you could possible throw out there is the fact that the sewage treatment plant is across the street and occasionally you got a whiff of it. Even with that this place is amazing. Our site easily handled our large RV and vehicles. It was also perfectly level allowing us to stay hooked up. The site is bordered by natural trees and feels very private. The tent sites are amazing too. Verizon 4G was solid and fast. We did not use the laundry or restrooms but did look and they are all clean and new. The playground equipment is nice and new BUT I will point out that the playground is hazardous. The design utilizes a lot of rope course style play features. We witnessed two kids, thankfully not ours, take really nasty tumbles as a result. Use caution and common sense when letting your kids play. The main feature of the park is the immediate access to the Michigan lake shore. You can walk out to the water, hop up on a break water and take a nice stroll our to the mouth of the river. It is absolutely serene at sunset with the pretty red lighthouse forming an amazing backdrop. We saw some people fishing and they said the fish were good size. As for swimming in the lake off the beach... we passed. The aforementioned sewage treatment plant plus the dark dirty color of the water meant we were not super excited to jump in. Not saying it is bad just communicating our thoughts. What we did do is take the bikes over and ride their boardwalk. It is 2.5 miles and very pretty. they have signs saying "no bikes" but others were ignoring those signs too. We paid $40 per night and would gladly stay again. Book this one now for next season as it will fill up fast.
The brand new naturally beautiful campground that provides privacy between sites, offers water/sewer, WiFi, Cable, Electricity, Dump Stations, laundry facilities, showers and primitive sites. This beauty of a campground sits on the northernmost shores of Lake Michigan and is very well maintained by the City of Manistique. Prices are very competitive and are well worth the stay. Spend a week in Manistique and visit all your favorite U.P. destinations have a great place to stay! (Editor Note: This review was submitted by someone associated with the city that owns the park)
