Lovely place to camp however, the bathrooms are filthy. I was there all weekend and the bathroom was never tended to. It was dirty when I got there and the same dirt was there when I left. What was also concerning are the piles of yard debris left out at the camping sites and the grass/weeds were not trimmed (weed wacked) around the base of the trees which are great havens for snakes. Lastly, first thing (9 a.m.) Sunday morning they run the LOUD lawnmowers for at least 2 hours. Shouldn't the lawn maintenance be completed when the Mill is closed (Monday and Tuesdays). All that noise jolted me out of my tent and put a sour taste in my mouth. After all, isn't camping all about peace and quiet?

Kymulga Gristmill Park near Childersburg Alabama offers 12 partial hookup RV sites near a historic Griss Mill and Bridge. Fishing in river. The Kymulga Grist Mill, Covered Bridge and Park are of significant historical, educational and recreational value. The park is primarily a wooded area, with walking trails and campsites near the creek. Over twenty-five varieties of hardwood trees and approximately fifteen ground plants located along the trails have been identified and marked by professional foresters. The part of the park near the bridge offers a venue for musical instruction and performances. Festivals, featuring folk music and dance, pioneer arts and crafts, storytelling and reenactments of local historical events could be held. In addition to the historical and educational opportunities, the area provides a place for recreation. Camping, hiking, picnicking, bank fishing and bird watching can be enjoyed. Space is available for meetings, reunions, and other events.
