📖 About This Campground
Johnny Creek Campground is a serene, first-come, first-served camping destination nestled in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, approximately 12 miles from Leavenworth, Washington. Situated near the confluence of Johnny Creek and Icicle Creek, the campground offers two distinct areas:

Upper Campground: Located above Icicle Road.

Lower Campground: Situated closer to Icicle Creek.
The campground features 65 sites—56 single and 9 double—accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs up to 50 feet in length. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and grate. Amenities include potable water, vault toilets, and trash disposal. Firewood is available for purchase from the camp host. Please note that there are no hookups or dump stations on-site.

🔥 Fire Restrictions
As of July 2, 2025, a Stage Two Fire Ban is in effect across all USFS campgrounds in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, including Johnny Creek. This ban prohibits campfires and open flame cooking with wood, charcoal, or wood pellets. The exception is that propane gas can be used as long as it has an on/off switch. No smoking is allowed in the open; smoking must be done either in your vehicle or within a building. Fireworks are also prohibited.

Head southwest on US-2 West for 0.8 mile.
