📖 About This Campground
Fort Clinch State Park Amelia River Campground in Fernandina Beach Florida is one of the most well-preserved 19th century forts in the country. Although no battles were fought here, it was garrisoned during both the Civil and Spanish-American wars. 70 campsites in two separate and unique campgrounds. Shady, Spanish moss- laden oak trees lend an old Florida ambiance to the 43 sites at Amelia River Campground. Best suited to smaller RVs and tent campers this area provides partial and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup sites. This campground is within short walking distance of the fort.
