📖 About This Campground

Bushay Campground at Lake Mendocino near Ukiah California is a US Corp of Engineers (COE) park located on the eastern shores of the recreational lake. With primitive RV and tent camping situated in a forested setting (1 electric and water hookup site is available too along with group camping). Boating, trails, and family friendly amenities highlight this recreational opportunity. Amenities include flush and vault toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station and playground. A horse staging area is located in the campground near the Kaweyo Trailhead. The campground is attached to the Mesa Day-Use Area. The "Mesa" has a reserveable group picnic shelter and several other picnic shelters as well as a playground, volleyball court, and large open grassy field. Campfire programs are also given on weekends throughout the summer at the Bushay Campground Amphitheater. The campground offers many sites with great views of the lake, but nothing that is close to the water. There are several trails that lead to the water, but many of these are very steep.
