Murray Lake Campground, located within Michigan's Brighton State Recreation Area, offers campers a rustic and nature-immersed experience. While it lacks modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and full hookups, it provides essential facilities for a comfortable stay:
  • Campsites: 25 grass-covered sites suitable for tents and small RVs. Please note that pull-through sites are not available.
  • Picnic Amenities: Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, facilitating outdoor dining and campfires.
  • Sanitation Facilities: Vault toilets are available for campers' convenience.
  • Water Access: Hand-pump water stations are located within the campground.
  • Trail Access: Direct access to the 3.4-mile Murray Lake Trail, suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and trail running.
  • Lake Activities: Proximity to Murray Lake allows for fishing and paddling opportunities.
Please be aware that the campground does not offer electricity, showers, or dump stations. A Michigan Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into the state park. Reservations can be made in advance, and the campground is typically open seasonally from May through September.
