📖 About This Campground
Black Rock Canyon Campground in Joshua Tree National Park is located in an area removed from the other main roads in the park just outside of Yucca Valley. Open on a first-come, first-served basis during the summer season, reservations can be made during the winter months. Primitive tent and RV sites. This former private campground has sites for any size RV or tent group. Sites are mixed along rolling hills and Joshua Trees. The grounds suffer from a lack of maintenance and so do the roads. The campground does have sites suitable to large RVs but the large number of ruts, pot holes and broken pavement will limit access. Restrooms and running water are available. Trails depart the campground heading south into the more remote areas of Joshua Tree National Park.
Access to this campground passes through residential areas and guests are a short drive from shopping and supplies.
