What would you say to $19 per night full hookups in a nice community park in a quiet area with zero other campers for a week? The same thing we did... awesome. The park is close to family and we enjoyed our stay. Great rural farm community park there are nice walking paths mowed in the grass, a pretty river next door, free mini-golf onsite, a golf course next door and a Dairy Queen within walking distance. As an added bonus the municipal swimming pool is within walking distance also. We stayed in the non-reservable site #8 which was a paved backin plenty long for our big rig. Verizon 4G was solid. Water was very rusty and clogged both our filters.

Ambush Park Campground in Benson Minnesota offers full and partial hookup RV and tent camping in a city owned park. Adjacent to the Chippewa River the park is well manicured and available for daily or weekly stays. Reservations available online; 2 sites are kept for first come first served. The park is located on the western end of town and is accessed off a State Highway. the main camping loop is a one way paved road with a secondary dirt road to a few other sites. All sites are either on asphalt, gravel or grass. The park is popular with locals for the paved and mowed trails along the river. A small playground, volleyball court, horseshoes, and mini-golf area are available. Benson is a rural farm town with a post office, stores, restaurants, hotels and grocery. Ambush Park Campground is reasonably priced with discounts for weekly stays.
The municipal golf course is next door.
