Lone Pine Campground, situated within Mississippi River State Park near Marianna, Arkansas, offers a primitive camping experience amidst the natural beauty of the St. Francis National Forest.
Campsite Features:
- Primitive Sites: The campground comprises 14 primitive campsites (sites 18-31) without water or electricity hookups. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, tent pad, ground grill, and stand grill.
- Facilities: Vault toilets are available for campers; however, there are no shower facilities.
- Fishing and Boating: The campground provides access to Bear Creek Lake, offering opportunities for fishing and non-motorized boating. A boat ramp is available nearby.
- Hiking: Several trails in the vicinity allow campers to explore the diverse ecosystems of the park.
- Reservations: Campsites at Lone Pine Campground are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made by contacting the park office at (870) 295-4040.
- Fees: The nightly rate for primitive campsites is $15.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Campers are required to register upon arrival. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m., and check-out time is 2:00 p.m.
- Pet Policy: Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet.
- Firewood: To prevent the spread of pests, it is recommended to purchase firewood locally rather than bringing it from other areas.
