About Ludington State Park Campground
Ludington State Park Campground in Ludington Michigan is comprised of scenic sand dunes, a shoreline vista, ponds, marshlands and forests. It is situated between Hamlin Lake and Lake Michigan with several miles of shoreline and beaches on both bodies of water. There are three partial and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent campgrounds; Pines, Cedar and Beechwood. Paved roads and dirt or paved camping pads this popular campground is best suited to RVs under 35" in length due to narrow roads and cramped access.
A popular summer destination advanced reservations are recommended as is the idea of entering here not expecting peace and solitude. Guests can enjoy the pretty sand beaches on Lake Michigan, tube on the river, hike in the woods, riding bikes on the paved multi-use trail or just enjoy the great outdoors. Located at the end of M 116 driving to the park is a pretty venture passing through scenic Ludington, along sandy dunes and eventually arriving at the state park.
Sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Water spigots are dispersed throughout the grounds. There are a few pull thrus available.
