About Lewis And Clark State Park
Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area, located in northeastern Nebraska near Crofton, encompasses 864 acres along the southern shore of Lewis and Clark Lake, the state's second-largest reservoir. The park offers a variety of recreational activities and amenities for visitors. Recreational Activities:
  • Boating and Fishing: The 16-mile-long Lewis and Clark Lake is ideal for boating, fishing, and water sports. Anglers can expect to catch species such as walleye, sauger, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish.
  • Camping: The park offers over 150 campsites with electricity and more than 100 basic campsites. Amenities include modern restrooms, picnic tables, and fire rings. Reservations can be made up to a year in advance.
  • Cabins: Ten modern two-bedroom cabins are available year-round, each equipped with two queen beds and three single beds, accommodating up to seven guests. Cabins include linens, towels, kitchen appliances, and a covered patio with an outdoor grill and campfire ring.
  • Trails: The South Shore Area features 4.5 miles of trails suitable for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and horseback riding.
  • Hunting: Seasonal hunting opportunities are available, including upland game, big game, and waterfowl. Specific regulations apply; visitors should consult the park office for details.
