Cape Henlopen State Park — Virtual Tour
About Cape Henlopen State Park
Cape Henlopen State Park Campground in Lewes Delaware offers partial (water) and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping in a pine-covered dunes area near the Delaware Bay. New electric hookups and walk-in sites, an improved camp store and improved pedestrian access will be opened in 2017.
All of the campgrounds provide drinking water outlets, modern shower and sanitary facilities, and sewage dumping stations. Campsites are equipped with a picnic table and may include a fire ring (campfire regulations). Many have electric and water hookups.
Tent campers have 20 new walk-in sites in the area adjacent to the Walking Dunes Trail and Gordons Pond Trail. A new lot has been built for campers to park their vehicles. For the RV sites road patterns have been changed and the roads widened to accommodate larger RVs. Sites now have concrete pads with picnic tables and fire rings.
