About Bishop Lake State Park
Bishop Lake Campground, situated within Michigan's Brighton Recreation Area, offers campers a blend of modern amenities and natural beauty. The campground provides the following features:
  • Campsites: 144 sites suitable for tents and RVs, with a mix of shaded and open areas. Some sites are pull-through, accommodating larger RVs.
  • Electrical Hookups: Many sites are equipped with 20/30-amp electrical hookups.
  • Sanitation Facilities: Modern restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers are available for campers' convenience.
  • Water Access: Drinking water spigots are located throughout the campground.
  • Dump Station: A sanitary dump station is available for RV waste disposal.
  • Picnic Amenities: Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring, facilitating outdoor dining and campfires.
  • Recreational Activities: The campground offers access to hiking and biking trails, fishing, swimming, and boating on Bishop Lake.
  • Pet-Friendly: Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash.
Please note that Wi-Fi service is not available, and water hookups are not provided at individual sites. A Michigan Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into the state park. Reservations can be made in advance, and the campground is typically open seasonally from April through October.
