Big Lagoon County Park and Campground north of Trinidad California offers primitive RV and tent camping and one electric hookup RV sites adjacent to the namesake lagoon and Pacific Ocean. The very scenic location has campsites in a heavily wooded setting. First come first served stays are limited to 7 days. larger RVs can access a few of the sites but most are best suited to small RVs and tent camping. Campers have immediate access to both the lagoon and the Pacific Ocean. Amazing scenery, quiet nights and a unique location combine to make this one of the more amazing places to camp in the country. A county run park the list of rules are long with special care required for pet owners. Park roads are dirt and can be very dusty when dry. Sites have picnic tables and fire rings (firewood available from camp-host). A restroom with flush toilets and running water is available. Water spigots are available to fill containers. Most of the sites have no or obstructed views of the water. There is one site at the very back, left hand side, that can accommodate a RV with views looking down on the lagoon.
