Canal Campground — Virtual Tour

This campground is on Barkley Lake.  There are 7 camping loops, gravel and primitive sites, water and wlectric only with a dump station.  Lots of trees, very shaded and wooded.  Fire rings and tables at the site.  Group area, tent area, pavilion.  Some of the loops have very tight and sharp turns, could be tricky for a big rig but we stayed in Fisherman's Row and it was a very easy in and out.  Some interior roads are narrow, steep with deep ditches on the sides but they're all paved. A designated swimming beach and a boat ramp help campers enjoy the lake. Picnic pavilions and a playground create a perfect setting for a party or family get-together. For group camping, several sites surrounding the pavilion can be reserved, and a fishing float nearby allows groups to go out on the lake together. Electric hook-ups, showers and flush restrooms create a comfortable camping experience.
