📖 About This Campground
Webber Lake Campground in Sierraville California offers 45 primitive (no hookups) RV and tent camping sites adjacent to the shores of a fresh water lake. Recently opened to the public this facility provides access to a 5 mph max boating lake with boat ramp and world renown for fishing. Originally stocked in the 1800's the land trust took over the property and maintains this setting. A 6 mile hiking trails meanders around the property through meadows. Advanced reservations are recommended.
Sites have picnic tables and fire rings and are situated on packed . Up to a 50' max RV the sites are situated in a wooded and shaded setting (note: The smaller the RV the better due to the forested setting and tight navigation).
Portable toilets are currently in place while vault toilets and water service are being added. There is no dump station or water fill at the campground; come prepared. In addition the location is remote.
Located off paved Jackson Meadows Road the short road to the campground and all of the interior campground roads are packed gravel. Overall a very unique location to camp.
From the site: "And while few today are familiar with the campground, lake and adjoining Lacey Meadow, it was once a mainstay on the overland route to California during the Gold Rush. The last hotel along the historic Henness Pass wagon train route still stands on the property, one of the oldest standing buildings in Northern California dating back to 1860."
