Very nice park located in a historic and scenic area. Nebraska City was the "last stop" for the Oregon Trail travelers after they crossed the Missouri River via ferry. A short drive down the historic downtown and you are witness to the remnants of a once booming prairie town. Large brick building on a historic main street has a very nice feel. The park is located on the east side of town just off NE 2 which is a divided 4 lane that carries a bit of traffic. Luckily the park is located down in a "hole" below the road so road noise is muted to non-existent. Unfortunately the hole also limits cell data speeds by making the device strain; even on an amplifier the signal was weak. Located about 1 mile from the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center which we visited and found worth the trip (although they do charge an entry fee). We paid about $35 per night for 3 nights in a long pull thru site. Only complaint is that the park is very "old-school". They manage their sites on a piece of paper so really can get confused as to what is available. At first call they only had partial hookup sites; upon arrival they had full hookups, which they gave us, and even were able to let us stay longer than planned. Coming from the west via 2 it feels like you are in rural nowhere but coming from the East you know that the park is only 3 miles from the Interstate. We would stay again.
