Took the advise and got site 10 and I have to agree it is the best one in the park. Feels very private with a view of the Mickelson Trail train trestle and the little creek flowing in the back. We arrived after Labor Day so got their off-season rate bringing the nightly down into the mid-$30 per night range. Great location for visiting the Black Hills, enjoying the trail, and going into Hill City. Verizon 3G is nearly faster than 4G! Very Good

For larger RVs this place only has a handful of decent sites. It seems that whoever designed this park has never owned or travelled in an RV nor did they consult with anyone who has. The sites are spaced at odd intervals and angles with very little room between. The park manager lives on site and is very personable and caring, high marks for her. We stayed a month making our daily rate about $22 per night; no way would I pay their nightly rate. The Mickelson Trail passes through the property allowing for great bike rides right out of the campground. Site 10 is the best site as it is tucked back off the highway overlooking a stream and trestle. The other sites are exposed to the highway meaning the daytimes are very noisy with jack brakes and motorcycle noises. A nice park with walking distance to Hill City.
