We live fairly close to this place, so we decided to drive over to preview the park before actually going in our motorhome. The park was a huge disappointment. In fact, I was really surprised that a Thousand Trails RV park would be so badly maintained. The interior roads were so deteriorated that the blacktop surfaces had become mostly gravel. Many sites were occupied by semi-permanent setups that were packed in pretty close together. Looked like a run down trailer park. The only 50 amp sites (5) were on the lake and were an extra $10.00. These sites were at least 50 yards from the nearest tree and would be unbearably hot in Tennessee summers. There were cabins and a lodge that looked like the siding was beginning to fall off. The tennis courts were really sad, with grass growing up through the playing surface and nets drooping. We drove around for a while and left without asking rates, etc. The web site stated that reservations for an RV site had to be made through KOA. The lady in the registration building told us that they no longer do business with KOA. I understand why. You can call the Natchez RV park direct to request a reservation. Problem is that you can't request a specific site. You'll only get an assurance that you'll have a site when you arrive. You go find one you like and then go back to the front to reserve it. One reviewer said she was told her selected site was already reserved, two times. Stay away from this joint.
