📖 About This Campground
The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park West Ridge Trail Camp in Aptos California provides a primitive hike-in or bike-in trail camp 6 miles from the nearest parking lot. Situated at 1600 feet elevation campers hike or bike through a second growth redwood forest on singletrack (hiking only) or fire-road trails to reach the location. Located west of Sand Point (the "top" of Aptos Fireroad). Dogs are not allowed up into this area of the park. Campsites situated in a second growth Redwood forest with needle covered ground and picnic tables. A pit toilet is available.
