Taneum Campground

Taneum Campground is a tranquil, first-come, first-served campsite situated along Taneum Creek in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, approximately 26 miles east of Cle Elum, Washington. This campground offers a rustic outdoor experience with access to a variety of recreational activities such as hiking, fishing, and horseback riding. The area is shaded by Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Fir trees, providing a serene setting for campers.

Campground Features

• Campsites: 19 single campsites and 2 double campsites

• Amenities:

  • Vault toilets

  • Picnic tables

  • Fire rings (Note: A Stage Two Fire Ban is in effect, prohibiting campfires and open flame cooking with wood, charcoal, or wood pellets. Propane gas can be used if it has an on/off switch.)

  • No potable water available at the campground

  • No electrical or sewage hookups

• Season: Typically open from late May to mid-September

• Hiking: Access to the North Fork Taneum Trail #1377, Taneum Ridge Trail #1363, South Cle Elum Ridge Trail #1326, and Gooseberry Flat Trail #1363, which connect to the Taneum and Manastash trail systems as well as the Little Naches trail system

• Horseback Riding & Mountain Biking: Available in the surrounding forested areas
