We had an very relaxing stay at Sunshine. The facilities and amenities were great. The staff is friendly and continue to work hard to maintain and improve the campground. They offer a social events calendar and we had fun participating. Public transportation is available right outside the gate and is convenient when visiting Key West, where parking is limited and very expensive. Overall, this is a great RV Resort.

Following the extensive debris clean up, the rebuilding of the resort has included a massive infrastructure grid installation, including underground water, sewer and electric utilities, rebuilding of the marina and marina store, refinishing of tennis courts, a renovated recreation center with a custom pool table, a new corn hole field area, re-thatching of tiki huts and now provides stepladder access to an ocean swimming area from a sunset pier. Upcoming scheduled improvements include the installation of a new cable grid and extensive road paving. An official grand reopening event is set for October, as well as a customer appreciation celebration in early 2019.
This park was severely damaged by the hurricane. Work continues to bring the park back to operational status. As of right now it is closed.
This is true paradise. We loved and will forever cherish our two weeks at this park. The keys are an amazing place and for the price, Ready Camp Go, $20 per night this is an amazing deal and park. The pool is beautiful, the marina is great with lots of fish, manatees, and bird life, the swimming pier is amazing, and they have a great community in the winter. I can not say enough great things about this park. There are some cons, minor ones at best, road noise can be a bit heavy, Verizon 4G is weak and required an amp for us, Encore skimps on site maintenance a little. You can kayak, walk, or ride over to Bahia Honda State Park. 40 miles to Key West. Short drive over to Big Pine Key to see the key deer. Thank you for the amazing experience!
Love this resort. Feels like ole' Keys without the traffic of Key West. About 40 miles from the popular city it is close enough to make a long bike ride or quick drive into town. Nice pool and access to the beach.
