This place did NOT meet the standards we usually see at a KOA. I had to finally call on day 3 of our stay to ask if someone could refill the toilet paper in the bathroom and empty the sanitary napkin trash in the stalls. They were overflowing and we were down to one tiny roll of TP out of six. Out of two showers and three sinks, one shower and one sink were out of order the whole week. The shower that was available was gross, there was hair everywhere. Also, the trash outside the bathroom wasn't emptied the entire time we were there and at a point it was crawling with maggots, which explains the fly problem. I have NEVER been to a campground with so many flies and bees. I didn't notice too many mosquitoes but the flies were out of control. The pool was really dirty as well. We saw a lot of teenage staff flying around in golf carts, but I couldn't tell you what they were being paid to do because nothing seemed clean or kept up. The pictures on the website are deceiving as are the descriptions of the cabins. The playground was actually better than it looked on the website. The pond however, was a glorified puddle. There is a sandy beach area and you could go up to your waist and have the bottom be sandy. But beyond that...yikes. The camp store opens at 10 and closes at 4 which was confusing as well. It could not have been a staffing issue because there were staff EVERYWHERE. And again, by staff, I mean teenagers on golf carts. Our cabin had a microwave and fridge and coffee maker, which were not listed on the website and that would have been great to know. Our cabin seemed fairly clean, but the cabin my sister's family stayed in was not. My nephew found a half eaten cookie in his bed and my brother-in-law found pretzels in his. The price of the stay was too high for what we encountered. I don't recommend this place at all.
