St. Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA in Saint Petersburg Florida provides full hookup RV and tent camping adjacent to the water of the bay and the Pinellas multi-use trail. The park is nicely kept with an onsite kayak and small boat launch, pool and spa (including a spa area near the seasonal section), playground, mini-golf, dog runs, horseshoes and clubhouse among many other amenities. The RV sites are a mix of backin and pull thrus some under large shading oak trees and others out in the open. A select group of sites are located along the waters edge abutting the mangroves of the bay. The park does have a small number of designated tent camping sites with the prime locations located on grass adjacent to the bay waters. The St. Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA also rents a wide selection of camping cabins including the classic Kamper Kabin and newer larger luxury cottages. When driving to the park you pass thru an industrial area that causes new attendees to worry "what am I getting in too?" Once you arrive the worries fade as you find a well maintained and inviting camping destination. Located in St Petersburg the park provides access to world famous beaches and wonderful weather.
