can't wait for the spring/summer season at Smiths. yes the sites are close together but other than that we love this place. It's close to home for us, the facilities are clean and you cannot beat being right off the beach and the bay. There is a camp store and there is a shuttle bus that will take you to the beach bar/ restaurant if you don't feel like walking. They even pick up your garbage from right in front of your campsite. April/May can't come soon enough. I was always a woods/mountain camper but where in the world can you be right on the beach on Long Island for a few bucks a night. COUNT ME IN!

Great park to visit during the warmer weather for the amazing views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Great South Bay. My family and I have been visiting this park for years. The amenities here are very limited with the exception of the proximity to the beach and fishing access. There have been some recent problems (2015 season) involving some minor theft from campsites. Hopefully the county will get a handle on this for the 2016 season. The Suffolk County reservatin system is not the greatest either.
