SJP has a quiet, well-kept campground run by Madison County, Alabama. Most sites are full hookup, a few are water and electricity only. The pull through sites are not shaded. Back -in sites are nicely shaded. Many sites are long term. Sites can accommodate large RVs. Bathhouses are clean but old. The park itself is large with a small lake, wedding pavilion, children’s playground, a swimming pool ( extra charge) and beautiful grounds. It is located about 15 miles outside of Huntsville, with its Space and Rocket Center and other attractions.
