Rustic Barn Campground

Although a small campground, it provides all you need. With pull-through, back-in and tent sites there is a site for any type of camping. Full hookups are available with 20-30-50 AMP service. Most site are shady and very level. We’ve been on multiple sites and never needed to put leveling planks down. Some sites have cement patios, while others have gravel. Only small rugs are allowed and all sites have fire rings. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry are very clean, as is the park overall. In the barn you’ll find a nice gathering place to visit and watch TV. Yard games are available as is a basketball court and playground. Staff are courteous and very helpful. The view in the countryside is stunning. However, you can hear road noise from the busy highway near by. But it doesn’t disturb the general relaxed feeling at the campground. We don’t see a lot of families, but there are some. The area had several close sightseeing areas in Dubuque and Galena. Everything from casinos, aquarium, antiquing, hiking, boating, fishing and shopping.
