A real bargain for great campground run by Army Corps Engineers Most recent stay was June 5th 2017- I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area Was impressed with our site #48 right on the lakes edge; large flat graveled site with good picnic table and firepit + 30 amp elec and water hookup with an onsite dump station when you exit the park. Lots of greenspace between sites no crowding and quite private. The park map give impression the restroom/shower building is nearby; however it was quite a hike up a hill on a trail behind site 53. We used the car the next time and the 2nd restroom across from site 72 – also up the hill. Restroom/shower was typical government style tiled floors and cement block painted walls; very clean with a bench and ample hooks in changing area adjacent to the shower stall + a soap dish in the shower stall. It would have been nice to have rubber floor mats as you exit shower to keep feet out of standing water when drying off and paper towels to clean up sink area which was messy after usage. Hot air dryers worked ok for your hands but that was about it. The restrooms are not well placed/located within the park, but overall the park was a good experience.
