We stayed in site 68 in the Tulip Loop which is pet friendly, and full hookups (W/E/S) and are generally pleased with the campground. Checkin was effortless, and getting to your site is fine. Lots of space between site, tons of trees, very natural feel to the CG. Large sprawling park with a Civil War museum as this site was a Union prison for Confederate soldiers. Good water pressure, no issues with electric at the pedestal (all clear from my EMS). Verizon signal is fairly good - 2 bars, but LTE. Now, our only complaint is the mosquitoes!!! These suckers (pun intended) are unstoppable and insatiable. It’s late September, but we just found out that they’re like this basically year round. We were mauled the second we stepped out of the motor home upon arrival. I’m usually the target victim and my wife is never accosted. Not so here. She got multiple bites and they don’t seem to give a darn that you put bug spray on! All in all, a great CG!
Point Lookout State Perk is the best campground, we have been going there for a very long time, it is a second home to our family, you have fishing, crabbing, there is a beach, large fishing pier, civil war museum. it is all flat land and great for bike riding, they have full hooks sites and tents sites the camp host are very helpful.
