📖 About This Campground

Nipomo Community Park is the largest public park in the area, covering 137 acres. It serves as a central hub for recreation, offering a variety of amenities suitable for all ages. The park is especially popular during the summer months, averaging 27,000 visitors per month.

Amenities & Features

  • Group Day-Use Areas: Three reservable picnic areas—Eucalyptus (45 people), Pine (70 people), and Monterey (120 people)—equipped with shaded structures, barbecue pits, and picnic tables.

  • Sports Facilities:

    • 4 softball diamonds

    • 4 tennis courts

    • 2 pickleball courts

    • Sand volleyball courts

    • Horseshoe pits

  • Children’s Playground: A farm-themed play area with features like a sky run zip track, net climber, spiral slide, and zip slides, designed to accommodate children ages 2 to 12. The playground is accessible and was upgraded in 2018 through a $400,000 project funded by development impact fees.

  • Walking Trails: The park includes a 1.9-mile loop trail, suitable for walking, running, and horseback riding, offering a serene environment amidst native live oaks.

  • Restrooms & Parking: Clean restroom facilities and ample parking are available throughout the park.
