📖 About This Campground

Newhalem Creek Campground in North Cascade National Park offers 110 RV and tent camping sites along the entrance road to the Newhalem Visitor Center. The large campground has multiple camping loops all with similar style, size and surroundings. Loops A and B have sites that can be reserved in advance; Loop C if open is first come first served. Accessible via a narrow one lane bridge (traffic flow monitored by traffic light) the park roads are reasonably wide and sites are available to handle larger RVs. Walking distance to the river, multiple hiking trails and a thick forest invite guests to enjoy the natural setting. A dump station, potable water, restrooms with running water (no showers), dispersed water spigots, picnic tables and fire-rings provide the basic necessities. Paved roads with gravel parking pads. There is good privacy between sites. The nearby town of Newhalem is home to a museum and workers who manage the hydro-electric project.
