📖 About This Campground

Nacimiento Campground is a small campground located among the oaks in a rural location between the Army base and California coast. A Los Padres National Forest campground managed by concessionaire. Located near a running creek the sites and roads are all on dirt. Recreational Vehicles no longer than 25 feet due to tight and rough access this campground is better suited to tent and truck/ van campers. Approximately 11 miles east from Kirk Creek on the Nacimiento-Ferguson Road. NO RESERVATIONS NECESSARY A pit toilet is available. This campground is not to be confused with the popular yet illegal camping that takes place along the Nacimiento-Ferguson Road. Made famous on social media these amazingly beautiful campsites located along the road and on turn-outs violate the camping restrictions in place for public safety. This and Ponderosa Campground are the only two legal campground located along the road. Popular mis-spelling include: Naciamento, Nacimento, Naciemento, Nacemento
