Indiana's oldest state park contains over 10 miles of trails from easy to rugged following the limestone canyons of McCormick Creek. The campground design is older and sites are quite close to each other. Firewood restrictions are in place due to insect issues, but wood is available on site. Camp sites are typically gravel and range from level to 4-6% grades. A lovely Inn is on the property and is a converted sanitorium from the late 1800s. Bathroom and shower facilities are older but well kept, clean and regularly attended. Large swimming pools are open during summer months and the nature center and other buildings are remnants of the old CCC depression building programs. Limestone caves, old quarries and waterfalls are found throughout the property. Sites are mostly fully shaded.
