A hidden gem off the beaten path – a little hard to get to but worth it Most recent stay was July 6th 2017 – I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a Little Rig "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area. This was an overnight stop for us; a little difficult to reach due to hwy 307 off I-64 is very hilly with sharp curves but after reaching the park, it didn’t matter. Some grassy/graveled sites are scattered on a hillside, and a challenge to reach while others are lower down in the flat valley. The restroom/shower building is perched on top of the hill and not immediately adjacent to most accessible sites and ours was in the flat valley so not close to it as we would have liked. That being said, this was a government operated park with a typical building of painted cement block walls and cement floors albeit the building was newer and modern – it was nice. It was roomy inside with ample # of sinks and shower stalls. Each stall had rubber floor mat in the shower, but it have been better if they had been in the adjacent changing area when you exit shower. Water was hot and pressure good. Bench in changing area was nice convenience, but only 1 hook for towels and clothes so needed more. The communal sink area was spacious and had ample # of sinks – and a nice convenience was the paper towels so you could tidy up after using the sinks. Missing were hooks between the mirrors a convenience for your hand towel. The campground overall was well maintained and groomed with nice large and level sites on the flat valley covered with mixture of grass and gravel included water and electric with nice dump station as you exit the park.

📖 About This Campground
Little Beaver State Park Campground in Beaver West Virginia features 30-sites with electric and water hook-ups and an additional 16 sites with water hook ups only adjacent to a recreational lake. The campground features a large bathhouse with laundry facilities, a central dump station, wireless Internet access at the camp store, picnic tables and grills. Firewood and ice are available for purchase upon your arrival. West Virginia State Park campground reservations are available from Memorial Day through Labor Day each year. Campgrounds are open on a first-come, first-serve basis after Labor Day.
The campground has packed gravel roads with sites available on packed gravel or mowed grass. Campsites are plenty long for any sized RV but when crowded can feel a little tight. Trails and the recreational lake draw guests in to this scenic rural park. A mix of pull thru and backin sites are available.
