Lid Creek Campground near Hungry Horse Reservoir Montana is a forest service campground (Flathead National Forest) offering 23 primitive tent and small RV camping sites adjacent to the recreational lake. Pack it in pack it out, first come first served, no water on site. Primitive boat launch for small watercraft available. Access to boating, fishing, hiking, biking, off-roading, and hunting.
The campground is located along the Hungry Horse Reservoir within the Flathead National Forest in northwestern Montana. It is nestled in a mixed forest of conifers at an elevation of 3,600 feet. The area is popular for its plentiful huckleberry bushes. Home to lynx, grizzly bear, and bull trout and with numerous lakes, streams, and rivers to enjoy, the forest is a premiere destination for visitors.

We wanted some peace and quiet away from Glacier Park and this was the perfect spot! Heavily wooded, lots of privacy from neighbors. Deer are very tame and visited us daily. Host was friendly and helpful and gave us some great firestarter matches. Would like to go back.
