The main campground is next to the shoreline of the huge Lake Guntersville. RV camping is a popular option and Lake Guntersville State Park offers water and electric sites for $23 per night or $138 per week. Full hookup sites are $25 per night or $150 per week. The main campground includes primitive camping, bathhouses and a playground and recreation area. The park also offers seasonal rates during the summer for full hookups, April-October, $510 per month and even cheaper in the off-season, November-March, $400 per month. They tack on a nightly fee if you take this option of $4 for RV camping. The park also has second campground on the northeastern border along Town Creek. Tent and RV camping is an option. Town Creek offers lakeside campsites right next to the water, bathhouses, boat rentals and ethanol gas at the Town Creek Fishing Center. Town Creek area has primitive "boon-dock" sites with generator use allowed. A second designated primitive camping section also allows RVs and tents, but not generators. All campsites are $14 per night with an extra tent costing $5 per night. There is a one-time $3 fee for all overnight camping accommodations. Advanced reservations are allowed.
