Love to Camp and fish Lake George. For the past 25 years I have been taking my family camping at Lake George but for the past three years I have noticed a big drop in fish. Fishing is the main reason me and my families my stay at Lake George, we just got back home from a four night camping stay and did not catch one fish, I spend $350.00 buying fishing license and feel I got robbed. And it wasn’t only me not catching any fish, everyone fishing was not catching any fish. There is a boat rental office and I asked the man in charge why was fishing so bad, he said that fish and game have dramatically decreased the number of fish they stock and to blame the government. If that is the case, fish and game should also drop the price they charge for a fishing license. I don’t think will ever go back to Lake George. I also tried fishing in Lake Mary, Twin Lakes and had the same results. Sad to see a second generation tradition come to an end.
