The KOA at Waldport/Newport is everything you HOPE to find in a KOA, plus terrific views of the river and coast. This KOA boasts arguably one of the nicest bathroom set-ups of any KOA I have been to. Individual bathrooms, some with their own shower. Literally your own bathroom (once you get it--might have to wait). Everything is clean and tidy and the spaces are well marked, include hedgework and wood structures for separation from your neighbors, and large spaces. The host that greeted me is a terrific, nice guy, and introduced me to three of the cats that unfortunately some cruel human abandoned at this KOA that he was now taking care of in the shop/office. They are up for adoption, in case you need a cute furball companion. Super nice guy, and even switched my stay here to a spot overlooking the water for no extra cost and no hassle. I am usually a more rugged, off-the-beaten-path type of guy, but every once in a while stopping in at the KOA is a necessary bit of luxury. At least it should be. And for that, the Waldport/Newport KOA is fantastic. Beautiful place.

A highly rated park for cleanliness and views the KOA has a mix of RV , tent sites and rental cabins. Located along the scenic Oregon Coast this popular park is often busy during peak seasons. No direct access to the beach the park overlooks the harbor/ Alsea River; there is a beach along the river guests can walk to. Most of the sites are in an open setting. Just off US 101.
