James River State Park in Gladstone Virginia offers partial and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping in 4 camping areas: Branch Pond (primitive), Canoe Landing (tent only), Red Oak (partial), and Horseshoe (partial). The park features rolling grasslands, quiet forests and beautiful views, as well as three miles of shoreline along the James River. Visitors can hike, bike, canoe, kayak, fish or camp on the banks of the historic river or at Branch Pond.
