Camped there last year and enjoyed the quiet and the Mississipi river. We got senior rates with our RV for $17. Nice park and beautiful view of the Mississippi. Campsites are a little crowded but during the week, when it isn’t crowded, it is still nice.

Illiniwek Forest Preserve Campground in Hampton Illinois offers partial and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping near the Mississippi River. The park has plenty of mowed grass and the prettiest sites are actually tent sites down near the waters edge. Restrooms, playgrounds and dump station are available. Roads are paved with a packed gravel backin RV sites capable of handling most any sized RV. A paved multi-use trail runs alongside the park.
