📖 About This Campground
Horsethief Reservoir Campground near Cascade Idaho is an Idaho Fish and Wildlife Managed Campground located along the shores of a remote fishing lake and reservoir. Primitive camping suitable for tents and RVs the destination is prized for its quiet location surrounded by forest. Excellent fishing in on the 5 mile max speed lake. As of 2017 the camping areas were handed over to the nearby YCamp for management and fee collection (used to be free... not anymore). Multiple loops located along the shores including backin sites. All roads are dirt in this area. Off-roaders can enjoy miles of trails along with hiking and mountain biking in addition to the lake-shore.
