This campground has improved quite a bit in the last couple of years with the addition of electricity to a number of the sites. The location is excellent, with the beach close by and the sites large and open. it is a popular place, so reservations can be difficult to come by. The town of Half Moon Bay is a bit of a walk but a quick bike ride and offers a nice downtown with shopping, food, drink and lodging. We stayed over Thanksgiving and will be back in July for a week

It was hard to get a spot here in the middle of summer and we got lucky the day before when one opened up. However, as you can see in the video there were plenty of empty spots that never filled up the whole time we stayed. The state parks need to fix this. Other then that it was a very nice state park, can't complain.
Not worth the $50 for the ocean front sites. Take a $35 site on the inside rows and you get the same experience. Great multi-use path for 18 mile rides. Good spacing between sites, no complaints except for price; for no hookups $35 is steep.
