📖 About This Campground

Greenbrier State Park Campground in Boonsboro Maryland is a multi-use park providing many kinds of recreation. The Appalachian Trail passes through the park. The 42-acre man-made lake and beach draw many visitors who enjoy swimming, canoeing, hiking, picnicking, fishing and hunting. Partial and primitive (no water, electric, or sewer) hookup RV and tent camping. Each campsite is equipped with a table, fire ring and parking area. The park has a limit on capacity and during peak times will not allow entry if the park is full. In addition the park entrance gate closes at sunset.

Beautiful campground just outside of Frederick and within an hour of Baltimore. Park has plenty of trials and a beautiful lake to swim and fish in during summer months. We always stay in the Cedar loop for it's electrical connection and there are plenty of shaded sites during summer months.
