Stayed here because of the great Passport America rate of $20 per night for full hookups. The park is easily accessible just off the Interstate and is right behind a 76 gas station. We filled up the diesel as we left and found the prices to be 20-30 cents cheaper than down in Sacramento and only 10 cents more expensive than in Nevada. The park is tucked back in the trees and down a grade below the road level so it is reasonably quiet. You do hear the occasional train chugging up or down the canyon. There are a about 10 pull thru sites in the middle with backin sites all around. About 30% of the park was filled with long term guests who had obviously been here through the winter. Everyone we met was really nice and pleasant (a lot of Minnesota plates). At one time this park was really nice but the office/ rec hall/ pool/ and roadways seem to be suffering from neglect. The price is right for what you get. Huge sites and relatively easy to navigate we would gladly stay here again. As a bonus there is a half mile and steep trail that drops down to the creekside. There is a picnic bench and chairs down there; very neat. We would gladly stay here again and explore the area more. Verizon 4G was solid. We had site 28 which handle our 60' just fine although we did pull out and then loop back through our site to leave; the exit road kicks at a sharp angle.
